America - Come together as one.

Our country is at an impasse that will go down in history.  As the end of 2011 draws to a close and the election activity is ramping up, numerous scandals are knocking on the Whitehouse front door.  We have seen the death of Osama Bin Laden from the result of the 'outlawed' tactic of waterboarding.  Our President thinks the taxpayer money is an endless supply, mainly to be utilized for his upcoming campaign.  The Attorney General Eric Holder is apologizing through Politico.com to a Border Patrol agent's family for Agent Terry's death which was the direct result of illegal actions by BATFE under his supervision in the 'Fast and Furious' operation.  Occupy Wall Street has become a filthy, disease infested parade of drug users and transients with the focus of a floodlight.  If that isn't enough to comprehend, we now find out that Israel is seriously considering an attack on Iran due to their increasing ability to produce nuclear weapons.  Once you have wrapped your head around all of those issues, our president is calling us 'lazy' because WE haven't done enough to fix the economy.

Currently, scandals are becoming an everyday occurrence and most of the American people are either going the way of the ostrich with their head in the sand or voicing their opinion and being labeled as crazy or biased.  Will America wake up?  Can we overcome the damage that has been done by the irresponsible actions of our leadership?  Our country has been able to establish and maintain a reputation for overcoming adversity with the current happenings being the "final test" of our persistence and determination that is the very blood in our veins as Americans.  We must come together as a nation in order to be the leading example of how democracy can succeed in a complex world.   The belief that Democracy is to blame for the current situation is similar to the argument that "matches cause arson".  In all of the world's constantly changing political landscape, one theme is constant, CORRUPTION.  Whether it was Socialism, Democracy, Oligarchy, or a Monarchy, the one issue that consistently devours our ability to succeed is the ability to corrupt our leaders.  It starts with a self-serving attitude in local government.  The city counsel members passing ordinances that will benefit those businesses that support the elected leaders and then moves up the ladder to kickbacks from the whitehouse administration to political contributors through government contracts to companies like Halliburton and Solyndra.

We as Americans need to do our own research and come together on an independent idea, away from the partisan politics.  Our constitution is an amazing document that has been fouled by misguided and corrupt politicians since the day Lincoln was shot.  If we can go back to what our founding fathers originally designed, then we can come out and show our world why we are the leaders of the Free World.
